Frequently Asked Questions
How do I start a vote?
Simply type /vote message in the current channel or direct message to start the process. This is
the minimum input needed to start an anonymous ballot. The default voting options are Yes,
No and Abstain
How do I provide custom voting options?
Say you would like to vote on a team captain. Provide your options in square brackets [option1, option2, option3].
/vote Pick the team captain [John, Jane, Jeb, Jim]
Is multiple choice voting supported?
You bet. Replace the square brackets with angle brackets, <option1, option2, option3>
Can I delete a vote?
If you have the ability to delete messages in Slack, this is no different.
